Foster carers are everyday people, are 18 years of age and over, who could have a family
already, be single or married,
different cultures and backgrounds, working full-time or retired. People from all walks
of life that are willing to make a difference.
It can be for a few days, weeks or months, but it will make a difference to these kids
for a lifetime.
You just need to be able to open your heart and your home to help a child grow up safe
and connected to their community.
Even while children cannot stay at home with their family, our priority is to keep
children and young people safe in homes where they can belong,
while maintaining their connections to family, kin, culture and community, through the
committed support of foster carers.
It is thanks to these dedicated individuals and families that children and young people
are able to grow and find belonging in their community.
