About Us

The BRIDGêS Program provides practical, trauma‑informed support for children and young people living with foster and kinship carers — grounded in connection, care, and community.

What Is Our Approach?

Our program is founded on:

  • Relationship‑based support
  • Trauma‑informed practice
  • Personal connection and consistency
  • Cultural sensitivity

Support is tailored to the unique needs of each child, young person, and carer.

What Do We Deliver?

  • Home Support
     Practical, individualised support for children, young people, and carers in the home environment.
  • Education Support
     Supervision and assistance during school hours, both in and out of the classroom, to support educational development.
  • Social Skills Development
     Meaningful opportunities to build social skills and connections through recreational and extracurricular activities, including team sports, clubs, and group activities.
  • Transport Assistance
     Safe facilitation and transport to appointments, school, and activities.
  • Family Contact Support
     Assistance to support children and young people’s engagement in family contact activities.

When Is Support Available?

  • Support may be required at any time of day or night
  • BRIDGêS workers are available Monday to Sunday (pending availability)
  • Support can include before school, after school, evening routines, and weekends
  • Currently located in Central Queensland and South West Regions
