Grow God's kingdom
In the early 1980’s, as Churches of Christ in Queensland prepared to celebrate its centenary year, Conference Executive recommended the establishment of a foundation. All funds generated by this foundation would be used to establish and promote ongoing missional outreach.
At the 1983 State Conference, Centenary Development Foundation (CDF) was formed, with five members of the original CDF Board each donating $25 as a founding contribution.
Since 1983, CDF has grown from that humble beginning to a division that makes a significant difference.
We are the treasury arm of Churches of Christ in Queensland and operate as a Religious Charitable Development Fund under an exemption to the Banking Act 1959 granted by APRA (Australian Prudential Regulation Authority).
Funds under management have increased from $125 in 1983 to $105m at present. CDF is still growing with the support of many churches and loyal individual clients.
We are very proud and thankful to say that we continue to maintain long lasting relationships. CDF still has clients from the very beginning (1983) including some of the original board and founding members. Many of the families who have funds invested in CDF have been associated with us for over three generations.
If you would like to help us bring the light of Christ into Communities, and take practical action towards furthering the mission, one way to do this is to invest with CDF.
