Investing in communities

Our commitment

Churches of Christ in Queensland is committed to remote, rural and regional communities ensuring that senior Australians’ care needs are met into the future.

We are developing state of the art seniors living campuses in four Queensland locations.

These developments will create great spaces and services for residents and the community and will include residential aged care accommodation, a campus community centre and a mix of home care and support services.

Each community centre will invite local community groups and on-site residents to be a part of the integrated community lifestyle through the use of a café, auditorium, multipurpose rooms, hairdressing salon and welcome lounge.

Each campus will be architecturally designed and landscaped to complement the local environment.

Boonah

Planning and design work is continuing on the proposed new Stage 1 residential aged care development at Boonah.

The new service will be co-located with the existing Fassifern Retirement Village on Harold Stark Avenue so that all residents can access and experience the new facilities, which include landscaped gardens, a central courtyard and man-made lake.

Our aim is to create a new and exciting environment where residents will continue to feel safe, respected and valued.

Gold Coast

Works begin at Lady Small Haven

Stage 1 redevelopment works began at Lady Small Haven at Benowa, Gold Coast in the week of 10 September 2018.

The redevelopment is a new building with 65 retirement living units and a clubhouse, with an estimated completion date of early 2020. This is the first step in delivering a long term vision of improved retirement and aged care facilities to benefit Gold Coast residents.

During construction, our aim is to ensure activities continue as normal for residents, families and staff.
