The service is a joint Commonwealth and State/Territory initiative for rural and remote communities, which allows the local community and service providers to work together under one management structure to plan and improve health and aged care services.
Located in friendly Blackall, the town is situated on the Barcoo River and Landsborough Highway. It is a small country town steeped in history, including the home of the original ‘black stump.’ The main street is charming with its bottle trees down the centre and truly outback-styled buildings.

Single room + private ensuite
Premium Rooms offer residents single ensuited accommodation. Rooms have a vinylfloored kitchenette and open to a shaded balcony. The rooms are furnished with an electric bed, cupboards, bedside unit, chair, lockable cabinet and carpet flooring. They have reverse cycle air-conditioning, natural light and windows with curtains, phone point, and a 24-hour nurse call system.
