Networking Issue 3 - 2016

Networking Issue 3 - 2016 is now available.

In May, Churches of Christ in Queensland hosted a forum for ministers and leaders. In his update, Chief Executive Officer Dean Phelan reflects on this forum and the relationship with UK Churches of Christ following Dr Martin Robinson’s visit for the event, and upcoming plans for future engagement and what our movements can learn from each other.

In this edition, we also have stories about how we marked National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week; a recap on our activities celebrating our volunteers during National Volunteer Week; Arana Hills’ 50th Anniversary; and many other happenings from across our many and varied caring and missional activities.

Our Community Chaplains provide vital support to vulnerable members of our communities. Through their help, individuals and families are seeing real outcomes and getting the help they need to get their lives back on track. Our community chaplaincy program is unfunded. You can help them to continue to deliver hope to people in need by supporting or promoting our Community Chaplain appeal. You can find out more on page 13.

I would also like to remind you that registrations are still open for our second annual Women’s Conference ‘A Beautiful Life’ to be held on Saturday 23 July at the Springlife Conference Centre in Springwood.
