Family intervention services
We provide practical support to Queensland parents who've been referred to us by the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs. These are biological parents who've had their children removed from their care, or are at risk of this happening.
We work closely with parents to develop their skills and relationships to help keep their family together, and give hope to their children.
We also undertake assessments to help determine the best path forward for parents and their children.
How to receive our help?
We can only take referrals from the department for this program. Once we receive a referral for a family, we'll contact you to arrange our first meeting and future support.
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander? Another cultural background? Please let us know so we can connect you with support workers ready to help you.
Intensive family support
Also known as Families Together, our Intensive Family Support services are for Queensland parents or carers who've been referred to us with complex support needs. If you've been referred to us, we'll quickly link you with a dedicated case worker who'll listen to you and build an understanding of your unique situation.
Our case worker will then develop a personalised support plan, tailored to the needs of you and your family. You'll then receive support over the time you need to help move your family forward, and bring hope to your children. We'll come to your home to deliver these services, and there is no cost to you.
We run Families Together across Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Mackay, Bundaberg, Burdekin and across the Isaac region.

Family and Child Connect
Being a parent isn't easy and every family faces unique challenges. Our Family and Child Connect program helps parents build skills and create opportunities so they can keep their children safe, healthy and protected at home.
This is a free program for Queensland parents who could benefit from extra parenting support and are not already formally involved with the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
We work with you to identify your needs, and then begin to connect you in with the local support services that can help you best. These may be services for mental health, addiction support, community housing, job searching, training providers, money management and family violence.
We are the main providers of Family and Child Connect services across the Wide Bay and North Burnett areas.
