New outdoor play space for Kallangur

Thanks to support from the Moreton Bay Regional Council Community Grants Program, our Early Childhood Centre Kallangur now has a new nature play space.

The area was designed to encourage children to be active learners - to learn through discovery, exploration and investigation, while having an open ended experience with the space.

Children from the centre and wider community are able to access this area to play and learn about their local Kallangur community and how natural spaces throughout the area operate.

This new nature play space gives the centre a stand out space that provides visiting families a snapshot of makes us truly different.

The Kallangur centre is often praised for our natural environment and it has been lifted to another level. Our existing 10,000 litre water tank will now fill a new creek, allowing the children access to water and learn about recycling. Future plans include a recirculating water tank that would enable water from the creek bed to be filtered, reused and recycled.
