Integrated communities

Churches of Christ campuses are uniquely planned based on individual and local community needs, with each individual campus designed to foster community spirit and cohesion. We offer holistic client-focused care and service in a location where the broader community can benefit from the additional services provided. These communities are located across Queensland and in Victoria are a mixture of care and support services, depending on the local communities’ needs.

Integrated communities allow residents to access services and social supports available on the campus in an environment where residents and clients feel safe, respected and valued.

Warwick Residential Aged Care Service

Warwick’s new residential aged care service features 128-beds within the cottage model of care, with each 16-room ‘cottage’ set up as a warm, home-like environment that promotes independence.

Residents are encouraged to take part in everyday activities, including meal preparation and personal laundry.

Within each cottage, residents have a private bedroom and ensuite bathroom.

The central living, lounge and dining space feature plenty of natural light and are furnished to enable residents and family members to select breakfast options and prepare tea and coffee. Each cottage also has a number of smaller, quiet areas for relaxation or reading.

Residents have access to stimulating outdoor environments for enjoyable activities such as gardening or walking to help retain mobility and strength.

Features include:

  • welcome fireplace in reception
  • a gym with digitised equipment enabling people to track progress and record improvements
  • dementia-friendly design
  • substantial natural light
  • personal voice-activated staff communications
  • recreational spaces in landscaped grounds which complement the local environment including a BBQ area, men’s shed, vegetable garden and chicken coop.

Regency Park Retirement Village

Regency Park Retirement Village has 99 modern homes set among landscaped grounds, including a resort style pool and spa. It has good access to public transport, with a bus stop at the front entrance.

The village offers a lifestyle that enables you to remain independent while living in a secure and supportive environment. Most importantly, we offer you and your family peace of mind.

Community facilities

The multi-purpose rooms on Warwick Campus are available to community groups such as schools for speech nights or regular playgroups.

The café has been designed to be very family-friendly with a playground and safe parking. It suits family members visiting relatives at the retirement village or aged care service as well as locals using other facilities on campus.

In the future, integrated campus activities may include:

  • retirement village residents volunteering at the residential aged care service
  • assistance in mounting a theatrical production for a local group for people with a disability
  • Warwick Church of Christ holding services on campus; other faith groups are also welcome.

Many future activities are possible, as long as they fit within the missional aim of helping the community thrive.
