Bribie Island

Bongaree Apartments is designed for eligible seniors currently living in public housing properties who wish to downsize to a property which better meets their needs and other eligible seniors in the wider community. They offer a practical and contemporary solution to the issue of appropriate and affordable accommodation for seniors.

As people age their needs change and living in a Churches of Christ Campus ensures residents can age in place, reducing the need to leave their home, neighbours, or familiar surrounds to receive the support and care they may need in the future.

Bongaree Apartments is purpose-built to meet the needs of seniors and incorporates adaptability features for people requiring additional mobility support. The design aims to provide an environment where residents feel safe, respected and valued.  Community Chaplains work within the campus to providing pastoral support services to ensure the wellbeing of Bongaree residents.

Resident feedback

“Easy to clean, nice quiet neighbours and I don’t have to mow the lawn anymore.”

“I’ve not had to change a thing except my address.”

“My grandchildren will curl up on the carpet and play in my bedroom and it is heart-warming. They feel comfortable here which means a lot as they are such an important part of my life.”
