Networking Magazine April/May 2015

This edition of Networking is full of stories from across our churches, mission and care services.

Two devastating tropical cyclones recently tore through communities where Churches of Christ provides care. Tropical Cyclone Marcia in Queensland and Tropical Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu left many people in need in their wake. Can you help? Donate today to the Cyclone Appeal at cofc.com.au, calling 1800 600 900 or emailing fundraising@cofcqld.com.au

It is a busy couple of months ahead for our organisation with including Easterfest (2-6 April), Centrifuge conference (7-8 May), State Youth Games (5-8 June), and the Women’s conference on 25 July. We will also be celebrating National Volunteers Week 11-17 May.

In this edition you can read about what’s been happening in our care services including celebrating our 15,000th seniors client, a palliative approach in our residential aged care, improving safety and security in the home, and foster carers talking about why it is the best thing they have ever done.

There are also stories about an upcoming church mission to the Solomon Islands and a recent trip to the Philippines, the welcoming of new spiritual care guidelines, and a look at our new website cofc.com.au.

I hope you enjoy Networking as much as we are encouraged by the wonderful stories we hear in their production. Please send your articles, story ideas, photos and events to communications@cofcqld.com.au
