Networking Issue 5 - 2016

Networking Issue 5 - 2016 is now available.

In preparation for Celebrate 2016 and the release of our Annual Report 2015-16, Chief Executive Officer Dean Phelan reflects on some our achievements and highlights this year. From the commitment of our Strategic Action Leadership Teams to bring the light of Christ into communities, to receiving funding for innovative services and the commencement of major developments, it’s been a busy year.

There have been a number of celebrations and events in recent months to catch up on, including the sod turning for the extension of our aged care service in Stanthorpe, to celebrating 50 years for Churches of Christ Care Fair Haven Aged Care Service in Maryborough and 130 years for Gympie Church of Christ.

Churches of Christ Care is celebrating 35 years of delivering housing services to vulnerable members of our communities. Read about the history of these services and how they grew from humble beginnings to helping thousands of people each year.

You can also read about Queensland Seniors Week activities in August, how a member of Whitehill Church of Christ is delivering light around the globe, and the winners of a garden competition on Bribie Island.

Churches of Christ Medical Santo is in urgent need of appropriately qualified and experienced doctors to volunteer with the clinic in Vanuatu. Find out more and also read about the experience dentist Cherekee Hill had volunteering providing dental care on the island.
