I am proud to relaunch the Networking magazine and am excited about the new look and themed content. We will continue to tell the many stories from our churches, our mission development work and our care services.
The theme of this edition is spirituality, which has been described as giving meaning to life. It transcends beyond the physical world and material possessions and represents our connection to self, others, the world and God.
In this edition, we’ve included individual stories from people working at the frontlines of caring for people in need and asked them how they acknowledge, welcome and understand the role of spirituality in this context.
As you may be aware, our Chief Executive Officer Dean Phelan is currently unwell. Acting Chief Executive Officer, David Swain, provides an update, including progress in meeting our strategic priorities set out in the Strategic Plan 2015-18.
We are currently in the midst of our 40 Days of Prayer, which started on 1 March and will continue through to 9 April. For more information and to access the weekly focus and daily prayer points, go to cofc.com.au/40daysofprayer.
I hope you enjoy the new Networking magazine. To submit your stories for the next issue on the theme of innovation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Jane Curtis on 07 3327 1620.
Don’t forget, you can read previous editions of Networking and our other publications online at cofc.com.au.
