Advocacy

Churches of Christ in Queensland actively seeks fairness and justice for people and communities. To achieve this, we have made a long-term commitment to participating in public policy and influencing government on social and economic issues. We understand that people do not exist in a vacuum, that their lives and experiences are influenced by the world around them – including how resources are distributed and how care is provided to the community.

Through our relationships with government, we regularly raise issues and influence change to achieve better outcomes for individuals and communities. We also contribute to ongoing government reforms – ensuring that what we learn as we work with people and communities is considered in policy processes.
